Just as our recent Chocolate Spice Yogurt Cake, this Hazelnut Cake uses the easy yogurt-cup measuring tool for a quick and delicious cake. The recipe also comes from “Simple comme un gateau au yaourt”. We used our “French” yogurt cup but you can replace it with a 1/2 cup measurement.
The recipe usually calls for a regular cake pan or a loaf pan, but here at Sweettablescapes, we love to use different shapes and sizes; so pull out your fun molds and pans, adjust the baking time a bit and make these cute individual servings!!
1 jar plain yogurt (Fage 2%)
2 jars sugar
1 jar sunflower or vegetable oil
3 jars flour
60 g whole hazelnuts
1 tsp baking powder
100g chocolate chips
In a medium bowl, pour 1 jar yogurt, add 4 eggs and mix thoroughly.
Add 2 jars sugar and mix well.
Add 1 jar oil and mix.
Add 3 jars flour, 1 tsp baking powder and hazelnuts. Mix well.
Add chocolate chips.
Pour batter into a buttered cake pan, miniature paper cups or a mini bundt-cake pan, like we did!
Bake in a 350F oven for 45 minutes or 30 minutes if using paper cups or mini bundt pan,
