Easter Tablescape

Passover and Easter are competing for our attention with a complete overlap this year.

SWEETTABLESCAPES is going back and forth, testing flourless recipes one day and going all out with Easter treats the next. Today Easter is on the forefront and for those who have given up candy for Lent, we want to offer a delightfully sweet and tempting spread.

After a family Easter brunch, what can be better than a dessert table filled with pastel bunnies, sugary and chocolaty treats as well as carrot-cake cupcakes and a Garden-inspired lemon Poppy Seed Cake ?

This table is an elegant mix of custom elements and easy-to-find store-bought pieces. The banner is from Target, the chocolate bunny from a local supermarket, the cupcakes are topped with candy bunnies bought at Michaels. The ceramic Bunny bowls are from Pottery Barn.

The flowers have a fresh-from-the-garden feel and the mini bouquets in egg-cups add another Easter touch. See more details here.

All desserts are by SWEETTABLESCAPES and include: pastel whoopie pies, mini spice bundt cakes turned into nests filled with chocolate eggs, Easter sugar cookies, Poppy Seed Cake, Carrot cake cupcakes. Again, if you are not a baker, you can still purchase lots of desserts from your local bakery or supermarket and arrange them beautifully on a table. Take out you best pastel or white tablecloth, use your fancy dishes and platters and see you guests oohing and aahing…that’s until their mouths are too full to make any sound at all!!
