Vessels, dishes and other serving pieces

One of the biggest disappointment of shopping abroad is that you cannot possibly buy AND carry home everything that inspires you. One of SWEETTABLESCAPES‘ great frustration is that dishes are hard to bring home and shipping is very often prohibitive, especially if the pieces are not that expensive to begin with…you end up spending more to ship that the cost of the item. So, more often than not our shopping becomes simple “window-shopping” and we admire and lust without buying…

But it is still fun and inspiring…

Three of our favorite stops are  Comptoir de Famille (great vintage-looking tabletop and kitchen accessories), Genevieve Lethu (tabletop and cooking utensiles) and Maisons du Monde (decorative items and dishes).
