Macarons…French baking at its best!

American cakes have now attained incredible design heights and have simply become works of art. French bakers do not usually offer such impressive “sculptures” and, if wedding cakes are very much as beautiful as their American counterparts, they remain cakes.

So to keep the patriotic spirit alive and well, SWEETTABLESCAPES decided to turn to the now- ubiquitous macarons. Yes, they’re everywhere but what colors!! what flavors!! and just the right size too, a couple of bites and you’re ready for another sample!!

In France, you can even find a ready-to-bake macaron mix in your supermarket. That’s what we call convenient… but we cannot vouch for the result so, if in doubt, just head to the brand new Laduree store in New-York at 864 Madison Avenue (71st Street)
