Nothing like homemade applesauce and its warm, appetizing smell in the kitchen!!
Peeling all these apples is time consuming but the luscious, lightly sweetened and cinnamony result will be delicious in your own apple turnovers (just use store-bought pastry dough as I do, and put a dollop of applesauce in the middle of a small cutout circle, pinch the sides together , a little eggwash and bake!!)or the perfect complement to some homemade crepes.
