Lyon, capital of Gastronomy

After my first stop in Villefranche, I drove south to  reach Lyon at the confluent of the rivers Saone and Rhone. I was born there so you will pardon the bias but I believe it is a wonderful city filled with history, beautiful architecture and of course incredible food!!!. Starting on the Place Bellecour…and exploring the neighboring streets, you stumble on one shop after another offering delicious treats.

Richart is there with their incredible-looking and awesome-tasting chocolates, as well as colorful and tasty macaroons…

A few blocks away, tucked in the Rue Merciere is Violette & Berlingot, an “authentic and contemporary candy shop”. Their selection is to die for…
